In 2023, we partnered with the Equality Chamber of Commerce, the DC chapter of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber, to reinvent its brand identity and marketing approach. Instead of leaning on conventional Pride flag branding, we designed a system that reflects the nuanced ways LGBTQIA+ professionals succeed in corporate America, whether through assimilation or subversion. A black-and-white foundation paired with structured grids conveyed professionalism, while subtle gradients symbolized the spectrum of identities that disrupt and enrich the workplace. To bring this vision to life, we also produced a custom photoshoot for the Chamber’s annual publication, transforming it from a simple directory into a flagship industry piece that celebrates its members and their impact.
